New Delhi:
Gentle quakes were felt in Delhi and encompassing regions on Monday night as a low-force tremor hit close to Haryana’s Jhajjar. The greatness of the shake was 3.7, as indicated by the National Center for Seismology.
The organization said the quake struck 10 kilometer north of Jhajjar at around 10.37 pm. Its profundity was 5 kilometers.
Twitter clients began sharing their quake insight, with many saying their homes shook in view of the quakes.
Many Twitter users shared memes on the situation.
Delhi, which lies near a faultline, is helpless to large quakes, geologists say. Since April 12, the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) has recorded more than two dozen seismic tremors.
The city falls in seismic zone IV – a high-hazard zone. India is isolated into four seismic zones — II, III, IV and V – as indicated by expanding power and recurrence of tremors.
